Beginning SHINE 4 Education
Directly inspired by his childhood in Fresno, CA, Elijah Hernandez had plenty of time to build out his dream of starting his very own volunteer organization. Progress began immediately into high school.
He matched the resources found in youth-driven high school programs with his own ambition for community improvement thus leading to the beginning of SHINE 4 Education.

Long before starting SHINE 4 Education, Elijah Hernandez was born in Fresno, CA. He began volunteering at fourteen through his high school robotics program. Inspired by his childhood, he sought to bring a level of equity in STEAM education that hadn’t yet been afforded to his hometown. Taking on this challenge was difficult but not impossible.
Beginning with his old elementary school, he would eventually teach over 1000 children in Fresno County and around the world with educational programs he made.
Nowadays, Elijah Hernandez runs SHINE 4 Education right on the front lines. You may see him teaching students in classes across Fresno County or presenting at community events. Wherever you find SHINE 4 Education at, Elijah Hernandez is sure to be close by. And by all accounts, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
